Our stand-alone chapel, "Lindenbaum," overlooks Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake. Within the pure white arched walls of this chapel, couples can vow their eternal love for one another bathed in beautiful sunlight.
The bride's train will shimmer as she walks down the chapel's 10 meter long aisle, beneath its majestic 7 meter-high ceiling. It is an ideal setting for an oath of love. SHINTO-STYLE CEREMONY

SHINTO-STYLE CEREMONY

Couples can also choose to hold a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, or shinzenshiki. Enveloped in the awe-inspiring tones of traditional Japanese court music, this ceremony is performed in the Zuiunden Hall before Tenji Tenno, the god worshiped at the nearby Omi Shrine. As family and friends pray for the couple's happiness and good fortune, the officiating priest will recite the ritual Shinto prayer. Shrine maidens or miko will also assist in the service. Couples will perform a ritual involving the exchange of nuptial sake cups, and offer their wedding vows before the gods.
SHINTO-STYLE CEREMONYThe beautiful white Japanese wedding kimono symbolizes purity and the couple's eternal love.
While the white kimono and traditional Japanese hairstyle remain the most popular choice, recently a brilliant modern-style black kimono or kurohiki and a western hairstyle are also becoming fashionable.
